Uttar Dinajpur Celebrated Hul Diwas at Chopra Today

Webdesk, TNI Chopra 30^th June, 2017: Today along with the entire state Uttar Dinajpur also celebrated Hul Diwas. The main organizer was the Department of Information and Culture, GOWB. The program was held at Aloroni Sangha Club Maidan situated at Kalagach of Chopra Block. The program started by paying homage to the Santal revolutionaries i.e. Sidhu, Kanhu, Chand, Bhairav, and others. The chief inaugurator was the Agriculture Commissioner of Uttar Dinajpur Zilla Parishad Smt. Shibani Singh. Apart from this in this program, the other guests present were District Inspector of Culture and Information Officer Mr. Arunava Mitra, SIDCO Mr. Paras Kumar Singh, Chopra Panchayat Samiti President Mr. Zakir Abedin and others. A procession was also organized to mark the occasion of Hul Utsav. It is also learned that tomorrow and day after tomorrow there would be various cultural programs and sports items also.
